about

I work in a gallery where I have to take care of a visual installation of the Finnish Institute in Germany called AISTIT for two to three hours a day. This installation reproduces whale sounds that were " released " in the 70s for the first time for human ears. I recorded short fragments.

Several months ago I recorded sounds from a bell tower in Berlin that always caught my attention, as it resembles a drone that envelops the birds that sing without pause in the Neukölln springs.

I wanted the birds and the whales to converse: to unite landscapes of sky, land, and water. I placed the recordings simultaneously, and as I lowered the pitch of the bell tower and the birds, they blended with the whale songs.
